Ordinary Members apply detail

  1. Any person who resides within the area of operation of the society and who genuinely need the services and whose interest does not conflict with the interest of the society.
  2. No person shall be admitted as a member of the society except the following namely:-

An individual, competent to contract under section 11 of the Indian Contract Act 1972.

Any multi-state cooperative society or any cooperative society.

The Central Government.

A state Government

The National Cooperative Development Corporation established under the National Cooperative Development Corporation Act, 1962.

Any other corporation owned or controlled by the Government;

Any Government company as defined in Section 617 of the Companies Act, 1956.

Such class of classes of persons of association of persons as may be permitted by the Central Registrar having regard to the nature and activities of society.

No person shall be admitted as a member of the society unless:-

He has applied in the form prescribed for the purpose of the society.

The board of the society approves his application.

He has purchased the minimum number of shares and paid the value thereof in full along with the entrance fee of Rs. 25/-

He has fulfilled all other conditions laid down in the Act, the rules and their Bye-laws.

He has attained the age of 18 years in the case of an individual.

He has not been adjudged by a competent court to be an insolvent or an under changed person.
